I have just finished writing a book for Carlton Press, provisionally titled Wonders of the Cosmos
. It is a book of stunning photographs of astronomical objects, with a 200-300 word explanation of each one. An example spread is shown below - this is of Enceladus and the geysers discovered by the spaceprobe Cassini.
The book covers objects in our Solar System, our Milky Way, our Local Group of galaxies, and the rest of the Universe including the very distant Universe.
Not only is the book visually stunning, but I provide an explanation of the science in an accessible and easily to read form.
